Woolworth's Is Alive! Well, Online Anyway...

By Cate Sevilla

In a week so full of death and sadness, at least one of our most beloved casualties of the recession has come back to life...sort of.

When Woolworth's died, we were all in a bit of shock. Where were we going to buy DVDs for £3 and our Pic 'n Mix?

However, now Computer Weekly is reporting, woolworths.co.uk is up and running! And you can, like, buy stuff.

The new online Shop Direct features the four most popular Woolworth's departments: toys, children's wear, entertainment and party goods.

The shop will sell over half a million products and then will double in size between now and Christmas. Stupidly, each of the shops - the Main Shop, Entertainment Shop and Party Shop - will have separate check outs. They say they'll eventually be integrated into one, but what a dumb move.

Although, a very, very smart move?

They're still doing "Pic 'n Mix" but they're apparently calling it "Click n' Mix". Fucking. Brilliant.
