Betty White has the Midas Touch!

By Cate Sevilla

Betty White has been kicking some ass lately. It seems as though ever since hosting SNL, Betty has been on fire.

Only good things have been coming her way these last few months, and I couldn’t be more thrilled about it.

Check out what Betty has been up to:

TV Success

Betty’s TV show, Hot in Cleveland, has been renewed for another season. TV Land have apparently ordered up 20 new episodes, which is twice as many as last season, and it debuted to an incredibly 4.8 million viewers.  Even better, The Live Feed reports that Edemol has acquired the show for global distribution.

Pin-Up

While stars like Jennifer Lopez and Miley Cyrus are the usual suspects for posing for their own vanity calendar, Ms Betty is posing for her own. Oh yes.  At 88-years-old, Betty will have her very own 2011 calendar. And while Yahoo! News is saying that not all the photos are new, “others are Betty with animals and more than one month features Betty posing with shirtless, beefcake-type men.”

Betty, you’re freaking amazing.

Betty =  God?

Much to my excitement, Perez Hilton posted yesterday that Betty may be taking over George Burns role as God in the remake of the 1977 movie  Oh, God! Producer Jeremy Weintraub recently pitched the idea to Warner Bros, and although a definite decision hasn’t been made yet, this just goes to show how much of an “it” girl Betty White is at the moment. Paul Rudd is also rumoured to be in the remake of Oh, God, so let’s keep our fingers crossed that this puppy gets made!
