While the rest of us may be unemployed, buying second hand clothes and groceries that are on sale, there are plenty of over-paid women out there making a ridiculous amount of money.
Last night The Evening Standard ripped in to Emily Matilis and Jana Bennett for earning over £500k a year, and now the Forbes list of the highest earning women on primetime TV will surely make whatever you make look like peanuts compared to the dough these women rake in.
Tyra Banks topped the list off with a reported whopping $30million a year, followed by Katherine Heigl - who well all know just loves her prime-time TV job - earning $18million a year.
Then the numbers “drop off” as it were, with Eva Longoria Parker coming in at number four with only $9million, and Tina Fey popping up with $7million at number eight on the list.
Weirdly, Jennifer Love Hewitt also is at number 10 – YES! 10! – earning a reported $6million.
(Just think of how much more she’ll make when her book comes out!)
I’d be curious to see how much money the top ten earning male prime-time TV actors earn. I’m guessing it’s a lot more than $30million a year.
