There are few things in this world that I love more than cookies. (Erm, biscuits...) Sure cake is lovely, margaritas and Dirty Shirley Temples are awesome and Mexican food is fucking amazing - but cookies. They're easy. They're delicious. And, well, they're cookies.
Anyone who has been to Japan or discovered stores in your local city that sell Japanese confectionery have probably seen those bright boxes of Japanese biscuits called Pocky. If you've had Pocky, you know that it's bloody amazing. And you'll also then know how disappointing it can be when you can't find it anywhere.
But the good news is that now Pocky is available in the UK - albeit in disguise.
Have you seen this (highly wrong yet highly hilarious) advert on TV lately?
Yup, that's Pocky, under the clever guise of the name Mikado.
If you've never had Mikado or Pocky before, they're basically long, thin, stick-shaped biscuits that have been dipped in milk chocolate. And they're awesome.
Mikado are really proud of the fact that each biscuit only has 11 calories. And while that is pretty exciting if you're obsessivley counting calories ("I can have five biscuits and that's only 55 calories!!!"), acting as if anyone has the willpower to eat only one Mikado biscuit is ludicrous.
That's like saying that you could only eat one bite of a McDonalds Cheeseburger.
Clearly, you will want to have the entire packet at least four or five. Or, if you're like those of us at BitchBuzz HQ, one packet of Mikado will last you approximately two hours.
(OK fine! 45 minutes!)
Mikado biscuits are now available in Sainsburys (yes! Sainsburys!) and will only cost you .69p for an "on-the-go" packet or up to £1.99 for the multi-"on-the-go" pack.
