Tina Brown Tells Palin to "Take a Leaf out of Hillary’s Book"

By Cate Sevilla

Ever since she didn't become Vice President of the United States, we've tried to ignore Sarah Palin. But, sadly, she just won't go away.

Whether her ex-almost-son-in-law is busy running his mouth to every single talk show that will listen, or Sarah yapping about David Letterman instead of the economy, the verdict seems to be that we would all just like to her shut up.

Is she still the governor of Alaska? Should she be, like, governing or something?

Over at The Daily Beast, Tina Brown rips Palin a new one, telling her that she could perhaps learn something from other more dignified female politicians such as Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi and Condi Rice.

"... if Palin added some depth to her knowledge, she has so much she could offer. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is a mother of five who translated what she wanted for her kids into fighting for affordable health care and clean air. Palin has a disabled child, one of a sadly ignored subset of Americans whose chances to live a better life desperately need her celebrity spotlight. Teenage mothers could use a leg up from Palin, too, but she’s too busy ginning up celebrity feuds."

What's that smell? OH! I belive that would be a buuuurrrrnnnnnn.

Sarah Palin has been instrumental in negotiating the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act. I natural gas pipeline project 30 years in the "dreaming" between Canada and Alaska. It will be the largest and most complex private sector project in the history of North America. It has finally come about as a direct result of Palin's expertise on energy. In contrast, Hillary Clinton gave Russia's foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, a red plastic button on a black base with "peregruzka" printed on it. It translated to "overcharge". Hillary Clinton lied about coming under sniper fire while landing in Bosnia. She also made a racist comment about Mahatma Ghandi owning a gas station. Who could learn something from whom? As for the call for Sarah Palin to advocate for the disabled, I have no doubt she'd be accused of exploiting Trig. And as for the 62-year-old pervert who has an obsession with Sarah Palin that borders on the creepy, I'd say she was very restrained in her objection to "jokes" about the statutory rape of her daughter. As the mother of a 14-year-old girl myself, had Letterman made the "joke" in reference to my child, he'd be in hospital or worse.

I still don't understand your hatred of Sarah Palin. I have 2 daughters and if anyone made a comment like that about my girls, especially on national tv, I would be beyond pissed off. I don't care if they are 14, 18, 20 or 24. She is a mother who took her daughter to a baseball game, there is no reason for a comment like that from anyone. Since Letterman made the comments on a national forum she answered on the same. He also made a pretty rude comment, again, about her looking like a slut, she didn't cry out about that, and that was also really rude and unnecessary, but defended her daughter as would I...nobody f--ks with my kids. And whoever Sarah Brown is...she sounds like an idiot, anyone who looks up to Nancy Pelosi needs a good slap.
