At what age should girls start using vibrators, Hillary Clinton's speech last night at the Democratic Convention, why knitting makes Coldplay feel complete, and Kristin Chenoweth singing about Crystal Meth on Intervention...sort of.
* How old were you when you bought your first sex toy? Boinkology have a fantastic post on what the correct age is for girls and young women to be given or purchase their first vibrator. The fabulous Lux Alptraum says,
"I’m tempted to say that girls should be given vibrators as soon as they
hit high school age — or maybe even before (puberty rite of passage,
anyone?). After all, what better way to celebrate emerging womanhood
than with a big heaping helping of self love?"
Amen to that, Lux! Couldn't agree more.
* Our girl Hillary Clinton made a really supportive speech at the Democratic Convention last night in regards to Obama. In an attempt to get her supporters on board and to vote for Obama, Hillary spoke from the heart, asking the audience if they were in it "just for me" or to really change the diection of America. As Salon's Rebecca Traister told The Guadian, "She nailed it."
* Chris Martin and the boys of Coldplay are totally down with knitting. (Our Liz would be so proud!) Martin was quoted as saying:
"Making clothes together in our studio makes us feel complete. We
probably sound like a group of grannies in a knitting circle but it's
the truth and it gives us some control over our visual identity. When
you are a big band and everyone is taking shots at you, the more things
you can do together the better."
And with those words, thousands of knitting Coldplay fans around the world are practically on the verge of climaxing.
* It's no secret that we're all big fans of Intervention here at BitchBuzz, and that's why this video featuring Broadway star, Kristin Chenoworth singing about Crystal Meth absolutley kills us. If this were actually to happen in an episode of Intervention, I'm really not sure what I'd do. I'd probably have to leap up and do an excited "WTF!! Dance".
