Can Too Much Time Online Cause Autism & ADHD?

It goes without saying: the internet is pretty amazing. But I feel like we need to keep reminding ourselves of this, especially when researchers mouth off with opinions about just how bad it can be for you. The latest opinion? Cervical Cancer is No Joke, Lay Off Jade Goody

For a number of reasons that aren’t really relevant, I don’t usually like to jump on the “current story”, as it were. That being said I’m going to make an exception in this case for Jade Goody. For our American readers who maybe don’t know who Jade Goody is - she’s basically the UK equivalent of Heidi Montag, if Heidi Montag actually ate food and had been raised in a trailer park.

"Rogue Traders": Bringing Down Puppy Traffickers

There are few things in life that I like more than puppies. I mean it. If you gave me the option to have free beer for life, or having a free puppy - I would take the puppy. So, you can imagine my anger - nay - rage at shady, disgusting dog breeders who breed unhealthy, abused pups on puppy farms. It breaks my heart.

Cherie Blair's '50s Housewife Advice to Michelle Obama

If you thought Cherie Blair was a bit of an idiot for admitting that the only reason she fell pregnant with her son was because she was too embarrassed to pack contraception "equipment" with her on a trip to Balmoral - prepare yourself.

News Round Up: SNL is Mean & the Bail Out

President Obama's former campaign manager David Plouffe spoke out earlier this week - off the record, of course. Still, the clever rascals working for newspapers managed to get some recent quotes. Louis CK: "Everything's amazing, nobody's happy!"

A few weeks ago, stand up comedian Louis CK was a guest on Conan O'Brien's talk show, and he had some interesting things to say about the state of the economy and our technological advances. He said that "We live in an amazing, amazing world, and it's wasted on the crappiest generation of spoiled idiots," and you know, I kind of agree with him.

Will Canceling Student Loans Save the Economy?

Are you among the 20,000+ Facebook addicts who got the memo? The one penned by a Mr. Robert Applebaum. The one that questions “funneling billions of additional dollars to banks, financial institutions, insurance companies and other institutions of greed that are responsible for the current economic crisis” – and instead proposes stimulating the economy by canceling student loan debt for people making under $150,000 per year.
