You may have noticed that nifty little button in our sidebar that reads G20Voice Blog, and it's something that all of us here at BitchBuzz are extremely proud of. Our very own Vikki Chowney is one of the 50 bloggers who have been invited to attend the G20 Summit in London on April 2 as part of the G20Voice project that will serve as the people's eyes and ears to the Summit.
The London Summit is a meeting of world leaders from the G20 countries – representing 85% of the world’s output, and Vikki will be reporting along with the 49 other bloggers from 22 different countries on what is being discussed and debated at the Summit.
Vikki and the G20Voice bloggers will ensure a vibrant and robust discussion about how the current economic crisis effects poverty, business ethics and climate change, and from the 31st of March to the 3rd of April will be included in everything from to briefings with global leaders, to round table discussions with experts in poverty reduction and climate change.
As Vikki will have have unique access to meet and put questions to leading thinkers, politicians, policymakers and high profile activists, we want to know what questions you'd like answered and which topics you'd like to see discussed.
Because of the current economic state and the growing awareness that politicians and law makers have of bloggers and social media, we think that it's fantastic that through Vikki, BitchBuzz and its readers will have someone on *the inside* at the G20 London Summit.
As Vikki says:
" As one of the youngest bloggers attending, it’s important for me to help put across the words of a younger generation. Some of us have become jaded and unaware of the problems we face as a planet – but a vast amount are still very much engaged and want to see smarter, more structured and realistic decisions being made about the future of our world."
We couldn't agree more!
We would love for you to get involved and want to know what questions and topics would you like for Vikki to discuss at the G20 London Summit.
Please leave us any suggestions or ideas you have in the comments of this post. Vikki and the entire BitchBuzz team would love to hear your thoughts!
