In the past few weeks, Obama has been heavily criticized for his affiliation with Rick Warren and his involvement in Obama's transition to the Presidency. Today, the Obama team took some steps that might just make up for their ignoring gay voters and gay rights. We've been told that Obama will be removing the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy instated by Bill Clinton.
In a video posted on change.gov, Robert Gibbs responded to a question about the Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy, stating that:
"You don’t hear a politician give a one-word answer much, but it’s yes."

Even though Obama is adamantly against striking down the Defense of Marriage Act and making marriage a right for every U.S. citizen despite their sexuality, he is already taking steps to grant lesbian and gay individuals rights they have been lacking for years.
