So, last night was the Miss USA beauty pageant, and I'm sure you were all watching.
Perez Hilton was a judge. Miss California was up on stage, it was her turn to be asked a question by one of the judges, and the named she picked out of the bowl of judged was, of course, Perez Hilton.
He asks her a question on a very political hot topic of the moment - and really of the last five years - do you think that every state should legalize same-sex marriage?
And then, Miss California did this:
And then, Perez Hilton did this.
He later then wrote:
P.S. Sorry we called her a dumb bitch.
We were/are just soooo angry, hurt, frustrated by her answer.
Perez would love to take Miss California out for coffee and "talk"!
I love that he says "PS" in his apology to her.
Calling her a "dumb bitch" probably wasn't the, um, most constructive thing to say, but Miss California did give a pretty stupid answer.
Perez says that Miss USA is supposed to "unite and inspire" (in a bikini and evening gown no less), and while I agree, I think that at the very least she should be pretty purple in her politics, and stay in the middle as to not alienate millions of people. Regardless of what her family thinks, or what her friends back at her Christian college think.
