Since we condemn society's worst in our Dick Of
The Week feature, I thought we should start
shining the spotlight on hot figures in the media. Not physically hot, of course, even though CNN's Campbell Brown is. Earlier this week, Brown ripped the McCain campaign a new one,
calling their shielding of Sarah Palin from the media "chauvinistic"
and that they "are not showing her the respect she deserves."
Even though I absolutely hate Sarah Palin (and some of her supporters are even turning against her), the sexist treatment of her by the media and the McCain campaign has to stop. No woman, no matter how awful, deserves to have her head Photoshoped onto bikini bodies with guns, or to be protected from reporters - particularly when part of the job is hoping for requires relationships with the media.
