Cate Blanchett & David Tennant to be Directed by Madonna

By Cate Sevilla

While it may seem that all Madonna is into these days is air humping, crotch grabbing and flashing her leotarded-ass  to the masses, apparently she still does other things. (Not, not just yoga, lifting weights and adopting children.)

Remember how she’s into movies, as well?

Apparently Madge’s next project is to direct a musical about American socialite Wallis Simpson’s affair with King Edward VIII, who gave up the throne to marry her.

Hmmm, an American woman who falls in love with an Englishman. Strange concept there, Madgiepoo.

Wallis is rumoured to be played by the equisite Cate Blanchett, and the role of King Edward VIII will allegedly be taken on by David Tennant. (*Squeeeeeeee!!!!*)

A “source” has told The Sun that:

“The final script is now written and the locations have been scouted. Madonna is now trying to assemble the cast and put the finances in place. The first scene is an old woman in her nineties living on her own in a Parisian flat (apartment), she starts to tell her life story to a housekeeper and it turns out the woman is Wallis Simpson. There will be a song for every decade of her life."

Madonna made her directorial debut back in 2008 with the film Filth & Wisdom, which was watched by approximately 49 people worldwide.
