I was absolutely shocked to find out that Brittany Murphy passed away yesterday morning from a heart attack.
Murphy was only 32-years-old, was recently married, and while she hadn’t filmed a movie since Sin City in 2005, she was anything but forgotten.
People have speculated how a woman so young could pass away from something like cardiac arrest. Was a drug problem to blame? Ed Winter, Assistant Chief Coroner says that Murphy had “'had a little bit of medical history” but that they were conducting a death investigation, although there appears to be no foul play involved.
However, Perez Hilton is reporting that Murphy’s husband, Simon Monjack is refusing to have an autopsy done, which sounds completely strange to me. Surely if your incredibly young wife dies of a heart attack, you’d want to know exactly what happened?
Now, this really shouldn’t surprise me, but I found the Daily Mail’s report of Murphy’s death to be absolutely disgusting.
“But Miss Murphy, who used to date actor Ashton Kutcher – who is now married to Demi Moore – also had a reputation as being notoriously difficult to deal with.
“She had been making headlines for the wrong reasons in recent months.
“She was reportedly fired from an upcoming film being shot in Puerto Rico for being difficult on the set.”
Yes, how sad that she’s dead, but let’s not forget her love life and the gossip surrounding what a diva she was on set.
Rest in peace, Brittany. You’ll be greatly missed.
