Big Shotz: The Little Drink with Huge Nutritional Value

By Laura Silver

With deadlines, friends to meet for drinks, laundry to do, books to read, Zzz’s to catch and everything else we try and crow bar into the day, it is understandable that we don’t always manage to get our full quota of vitamins and nutrients into our diets.

Combine that with keeping the calories low enough for the body-con dress you just have to wear next Saturday night, and health wise, well, you are essentially screwed! While I try really hard to get my 5 a-day, and cook most things from scratch, it sometimes is a struggle to pack in enough veg, let alone vital extras like pre-biotics and Omega 3’s. I may not be a ready meal addict, but when I’m busy it’s pasta and pesto all the way! Sound familiar?

A healthy balanced diet can never be substituted, but it can certainly be boosted with vitamin and mineral supplements such as those that can be found in new fortified juice shot, Big Shotz. The miniature shot of mango and passion fruit juice is enriched with an impressive 17 vitamins and minerals, omega 3, prebiotic fibre and nature’s caffeine, ginseng.

Personally I am generally not an advocate of vitamin pills, as I think they seem like a bit of a cop-out to healthy eating, however, the fact that Big Shotz incorporates the equivalent into a juice, at least puts people in the right mindset to associate juice with a healthy diet, and sometimes even the best intensions are not met, making Big Shotz a great way to boost your daily vitamins.

Health aside, the tropical mango and passion fruit tastes amazing, and would make a great addition to a speedy breakfast on the go.

Big Shotz is available for £1.99 each from Selfridges, Waitrose, Coffee Republic and AMT Coffee as well as a selection of premium cafes and sandwich shops.
